W arren is captain of the football team and one of the most popular guys in his high school. With his curly blond hair and big blue eyes, he looks like a TV star on the local sports channel. Some people think he is the best player his high school has ever had. Hoping he will pick their college when he graduates, college football scouts hang around after every game to talk to him.
What the scouts don't know is that because of a learning disability, Warren will be lucky to graduate. He's barely passing his classes and even has a tough time learning the football plays. Every day after practice he takes the coach's plays and notes home to read and study with his dad. Warren works hard, but his learning dis ability was not recognized until he was in the eighth grade. He has a lot of catching up to do.
