Who Has a Learning DisabilityAccurate Assessment Matters

Tests are hard and take a long time. An accurate assessment requires you to try your best with sometimes boring, frustrating, and personal questions.

Before the doctor checks your weight, you would not fill the pockets of your jeans with lead weights. Likewise, if you are being tested for LD, you must not “load” the test answers, or answer dishonestly, to avoid being diagnosed as “different.” If you don't cooperate fully, you only add to your problem and delay getting the help you may need.
