Maneuvering around weaknesses is like making an end run in football. It doesn't mean taking the easy way out; it means getting where you want to go by taking a different path.

Hank and his counselor talked about his problem with organization. Together they made a checklist. As Hank packed his lunch and got his clothes ready the night before his first day, he checked those items off. He agreed to take out the trash if his mom would make sure he got out of bed when the alarm went off each morning. “Take out trash” was added to his checklist. As he left the house, he stopped at a small table by the door for his keys and then checked off the last item, "Pick up keys.” The checklist helped Hank with his problem with organization.
