How Can You Spot DepressionMinor Depression Vs. Major Depression

When it seems that there are more negative days than positive ones, this may be the start of minor depression. Minor depression can become serious because many people are not aware that they are suffering. They assume that their “down” moods will pass. But if left untreated, minor depression can turn into a major depression.

Time is the biggest test. If the “down” mood goes away after a good night's sleep or in a few days, the person is probably not depressed. If two or more of the following signs are present all day, every day, for two weeks or more, however, the person could be suffering from major depression.
