Getting Help
Religious Leaders
Religious leaders can be great sources of help. Some are familiar with the problems of addiction and will be eager to help. Others may know exactly where to refer you for assistance. They can also give you ideas about how to tell your parents. They may be willing to go with you when you tell your parents.
A word of warning is needed, however. If your religious leader tells you that prayer alone will get rid of your addiction, find someone else to consult. Remember, you need medical help in order to get off depressants.
