Cerebral palsy has many different symptoms. Some are more, and some are less severe. An individual with cerebral palsy may have trouble with activities like writing, drawing, or cutting with scissors; experience trouble with maintaining his or her balance and walking; or be affected by uncontrollable movements and behaviors, such as twisting and turning motions of the hands, or drooling. And not only do different people have different symptoms, but those symptoms may even change over time in the individual.
Some people with cerebral palsy are also affected by other medical disorders, including epilepsy and seizures, blindness, deafness, or mental impairment.
