Crash or Freeze

Have you ever had a computer quit working while you are in the middle of using it? When a computer screen goes blank, we call this a crash. A freeze occurs when the computer will no longer let you point and click with a mouse, the arrow just will not move, or you cannot type letters on the keyboard.

If your computer crashes or freezes, you can sometimes turn it off and restart or reboot it. Sometimes a computer repair person can either start it again or transfer what was on your computer's hard drive to a new computer.
